I'll share with you a story that a passenger submitted to us, Grand Canyon Whitewater, after his river trip this past May.
He even came into the office after the trip to personally thank the staff…

"My 13 year old boy has just come through another significant drop in his vision. His corrected vision is now 20/100, 20/200… with a projection of being legally blind in the next 10 years. Troy and Jeff, with expertise in blind ski instruction, made my son, Grant, feel like a million bucks. The guides' optimism and patience increased Grant's confidence.
I wish you knew how out of character it was fro Grant to make his way to Elves Chasm. Troy and Ted guided every step with their own hands and with Grant's red and white cane. Amazing.
Then with Adam's kindness and my own guidance, Grant made his way through and up to the jump spot. (With Grant's disease – RP – the dark climb to the jump was 100% black).
That final movement into place and jump instilled all the more to Grant that he will be just fine…with or without vision. Thanks Grand Canyon Whitewater… Jeff, Troy, Ted & Adam, for the trip that helped change Grant's life."
