"The trip was phenominal. It is very difficult to put into words what I have just been through. Jumping into that river was exhilirating. Hiking through the canyon was an adventure — seeing all the beauty that the canypon has to offer so up close and personal. Never did I not feel safe, although some of the climbs were higher than I am comfortable with. However, I'm glad I went on all the hikes since they were definitely my favorite parts of the trip. All the rapids are exciting and fun but the real excitement lies along the paths of Deer Creek and Havasu. I also enjoyed all the stories and the learning that we got to enjoy about the history of the canyon and all the different types of rock and shorelines — learnig about the people before us and how they survived or perished. Especially enjoyed Sarah reading us ghost stories while the stars begin to shine. I would have to say what surprised me most were the beaches. The sand is absolutely perfect. Coming from Long Island, that says a lot since we have some of the most beautiful shorelines in the world. The comraderie between the new river rats is something I think we shall all remember for a lifetime. You don't expect to meet such nice people, people who — after 7 days — you can call friends. You all made my trip special and I am very happy to have spent time with you. To the crew, you guys worked very well together and I thank you for sharing your expertise with us so freely. I cannot imagine having a more knowledgeable and friendly crew guiding us through this wondorous world. Thank You!!!!"
