Well shoot. You’re right — we aren’t running any more Grand Canyon raft trips for 6 whole months. But don’t despair! Here is a list of things you can do while you eagerly await your next chance to raft the Mighty Colorado with us:
- Make a countdown calendar. I like the kind that has those little flaps you lift and, under each flap, there’s a piece of chocolate! Definitely helps make the days until our first 2017 launch more bearable.
- Stalk — er, I mean, keep up with! — our guides over the winter through our blog. Live vicariously through them as they travel and paddle, ski and study, or do whatever they do in their off-season!
- Miss the strange dichotomy of being in an extreme wilderness environment but still having someone fix you a cup of delicious coffee each morning? You’re in luck! Our buddies over at All-Star Grand Canyon Tours offer luxury, eco-friendly, full-service guided multi-day and day tours in the Grand Canyon region. Check and see if they can take you down to spend a few days at Havasu Falls, which you wouldn’t have seen on your river trip, because the falls are just too darn far from the river.
We’ve got plenty of other ideas on our Helpful Links page — swing by and see if you can’t find something fun to do with our friends this fall and winter!
