Grand Canyon Whitewater is excited for the 2011 season. We are all getting prepared and amped for our Grand Canyon rafting trips! Our guides are all prepping, refreshing and eager to begin the Arizona rafting season. In the spring, we have all kinds of training sessions going on. Our guides are about to begin their Wilderness First Responder refresher courses. These courses cover everything from CPR, wound management, orthopedic injuries, and gastrointestinal disorders to environmental emergencies and backcountry first aid. Obviously, they hope to never have to use these skills, but they are prepared and knowledgeable in any case. We proudly acknowledge that each one of our guides is a certified Wilderness First Responder. The Grand Canyon Whitewater guides boast an excellent track record in safety rafting the Colorado. In 2010, the crew had ZERO injuries on the river that required evacuation or post-trip medical care. That is a great accomplishment.
