I talked to ANOTHER person on the phone today who emphasized that out of all the trips she has been on all over the world, her Grand Canyon rafting trip is her favorite. This woman had been on a trip 30 years ago and was calling Grand Canyon Whitewater to sign her family up this time around. She said she had been on adventures in Africa, Europe, South America but nothing she had seen since her Colorado River trip had neared the sheer magnificence of the Grand Canyon.

I have heard this statement before from people. I have heard how they light up when they talk about their previous rafting adventure. Even through the phone I can hear they have a smile on their face while reminiscing. Many people try to describe how they feel about the place but are at a loss for words. It really is breathtaking, indescribable beauty. To put words to its magnificence is almost a crime; words just can’t do justice to Grand Canyon. I find myself telling people it is just that “ahhhh…” kinda feeling; when everything in the world just seems right and good.
