April 5, 2011 is a date for the history books. Grand Canyon Whitewater will launch their inaugural Colorado River trip from Lees Ferry. We plan to celebrate the launch in a “grand” way with most of our office staff and guides in attendance. The Arizona River Runners family, our sister company, will be there as well to kick off the start of the season.
The first launch is special in a number of ways. Besides being the first, it is a special trip for a group called Native Voices. Native Voices is a program created and funded by all 16 of the rafting tour outfitters in Grand Canyon. The program was created to enhance the Grand Canyon river guides’ understanding of the relationship between Native Tribes and the Grand Canyon in order to better enable them to communicate this relationship to their passengers on rafting tours in Grand Canyon.
We are ecstatic and we hope to see you on a rafting adventure in this history-making inaugural season! For your Grand Canyon rafting vacation, call Grand Canyon Whitewater at 1-800-343-3121!
