"Our guides were very attentive and appeared quite competent in their work. Thea enthusiastically tended to every need of the groups and was anxious to learn from Jeff and Mark. She appeared quite self-reliant and will surely be a remarkable Colorado River guide if she so chooses. Jeff and Mark’s competence and good nature made everyone feel comfortable and secure for the duration of the trip. Their knowledge of the geology and river history was impressive and they shared it with entertaining enthusiasm. Other groups will be fortunate to have such a trio guide them through the unique and special adventure.
Watching guide Mark, without any hesitation or reservations, scramble up a very high and steep hill to retrieve some trash that had blown in from elsewhere and lodged itself in a rock. Our group was thrilled, as most others might have said: "Too high, too steep, too far away – too bad…" Mark just did it with no question. I’m certain Thea and Jeff would have responded as quickly had they seen the jetsom first."
