Kim from Australia had a wonderful white water rafting trip with Grand Canyon Whitewater. Read about her experience below…
In case it is hard to read, here is what Kim says:
"From the onset at Marble Canyon the unexpectedly pleasant but surprising experiences began. Loading the boats was fun, meeting other people and experiencing the first "cold splashes." The wildlife, the bridges and the new lifestyle surprised. The guides on the first night explained with confident experience the procedures we would follow the comming week. The food! Amazing- so much and such quality. The guiding – stories, geology, history during the day and at night in a circle they explained "river rat" folklore. It was fantastic. Little Colorado – blue/green/white – I never knew a river like it. The Inner Gorge – running rapid after rapid splased again and again. "Hermit" – the thrill. Havasupai – again superb crawling thru the boulders higher and higer. Not to forget the hike to the "Patio." The last rapid – bittersweet – was Lava Falls. We watched other, we filmed and then it was our turn! Last supper – a huge Rib Eye, mash potatoes and corn. Yum! The stories by the circle atmospheric. Then early to the heli! Amazin! Then even better – a shower! The leaving the Canyon sad! A trip of a lifetime."
