ARR/GCW river guide, Lyndsay Hupp, has been working on perfecting a healthy, delicious snack bar and it seems she has found the secret recipe. We’re excited for her success because we love her AND her Huppybars! The Huppybar website says it best, so I’ll use her words…
The tale of the Huppybar begins somewhere between soaring cliffs, rowdy waves, and an impassioned river guide deep in the heart of Grand Canyon. While a labor of love, guiding river expeditions for weeks on end in the harsh environs of the Canyon can take its toll, leaving a person craving some nutritious sustenance. After several years of digging into every kind of snack bag, Huppybar founder, Lyndsay Hupp, could never quite find what she was looking for. She, therefore, took it upon herself to create exactly what she was looking for.
Huppybars are packed with raw nuts and seeds offering natural protein, fiber, and “good” fats that tend to satiate hunger sooner and curb overeating.
Lyndsay looks forward to building an ecologically and socially responsible business that incorporates and benefits the communities of Flagstaff, the Grand Canyon, and beyond. A portion of sales will be donated to organizations dedicated to getting kids active and outside. She hopes to continue to incorporate and increase local and/or organic ingredients, and eventually use only gluten-free and wheat contaminant-free oats in all Huppybar products.
You can find Lyndsay’s delicious Huppybars in marketplaces at Grand Canyon’s South Rim, Flagstaff and Sedona. Try one today or a buy a box for your next adventure.
