When you’re on your river trip, you might start to see a bit of a pattern when it comes to what kind of clothing the guides wear. Primarily this is: long sleeves and hoods. It is always beneficial to take tips from the guys and gals that make the Grand Canyon their office, so you might want to listen up!
As a guide gift this year, we gave all of our guides a GWC hat but also — more importantly — a new thin cotton long-sleeved hoodie (which we lovingly call the ‘Guide Hoodie’). We thought they’d like the hoodie but didn’t expect everyone to LOVE it quite as much as they do! It is a great thing to have on the river for a few reasons. It is super thin cotton, which is great to wear even in the summer time as it gets wet and stays wet (keeping you nice and cool). It also has a hood that is great to protect your neck from the blazing sun.
