“This was the first time I was in the Canyon when the Little Colorado River was running clear. Wow! was that fun playing in the rapids and pools. Just the best! The hike up the saddle was a delight as well. I found the hike out on the Bright Angel Trail to be the most enjoyable of the 4 times I’ve done it. I guess those billion-year hikes get easier with age. Spending quality time with my adult children doing something we all love in the most beautiful place in the world will always be a cherished memory. I thought the guides were super; Jeff is really good with geology, and Jason was helpful with the botany on the hikes. Ted sang and played his guitar at the amphitheater while my sons-in-law beat Jeff at horseshoes. Ted also read a little Edward Abbey and some Canyon poetry on the float. The whole experience was the best I’ve had in the Canyon. Watching Jeff fix chicken on the grill in a 40 mph windstorm was quite impressive. His resourcefulness and determination to create a wonderful experience in extremely difficult circumstances was a real joy. Such pride and dedication is rare and makes the trip. Also, I like sleeping under the stars and your cots made it a luxury. “
