If your Arizona rafting trip includes either
- A hike INTO the Grand Canyon via the Bright Angel trail to meet the rafts OR
- Oar-powered rafts
here is something to consider….
You have the option (and Grand Canyon Whitewater encourages it) to order alcoholic beverages before your rafting trip. If you are hiking into the Canyon, the reason is obvious – so you don’t have to lug a 30-pack of beer in your backpack for 9 miles. If you are on an oar-powered rafting trip, it is nice to pre-order beer/wine/liquor so the guides can stash it away on the rafts before you arrive and have it in a nice, secure place.
Grand Canyon Whitewater works with Beaver Street Liquor in Flagstaff, Ariz. Beaver Street takes order forms from river trip guests, fills the order and delivers it to GCW’s warehouse before the river trip launches. We don’t tack on any extra fees and neither does Beaver Street; you can expect to pay the same as you would at any liquor store.
What you need to do: If you are on a Lower Canyon or Oar-Powered trip, find the Beaver Street Liquor beverage order form at the back of your detailed trip info packet you received from GCW. Fill out the order form and return it DIRECTLY to Beaver Street. Make sure you do this plenty ahead of your river trip (like, weeks, if not months, prior to your rafting tour).
