"The gear was great, kept us comfortable. We were very appreciative of the canopy for shade besides the gear that kept us warm and comfy. The guides seem to know the answer to every question asked of them- from the beginning of history of formation, the people, wildlife, and plant life. They were full of life and energy. They were always happy and happy to share any of their own stuff to ensure our comfort, knowing we wouldn't enjoy the trip as much if we were uncomfortable. Our guides seemed so much more fun than all the other companies we saw on the river. We were treated with guitar and harmonica music some evenings which was perfect – but only after making sure that was okay with our group and the style of trip we wanted. Our group liked it, our group also liked hiking and our trip leader made it possible to get in more hiking by revamping the trip and daily mileage they rowed – just so we could do all we wanted to do. The guides did everything to make stuff great. They were easy going and laughed and joked a lot. Grand Canyon Whitewater's equipment was noticeably fantastic. We all felt very well cared for with cots, pads, great tents and sleeping bags and fleece for staying extra warm. The guides seemed well equipped to do their jobs. They seemed to really enjoy what they were doing which made the trip even better. Great information was given beforehand so I would have everything I needed for the trip. The rain gear for the rafting was very helpful to stay warm. The trip, in one word, was AMAZING, I rate it a 20 on a scale of 1 to 10."
