I was with my Grandma this last weekend and we got to talking about Grand Canyon river trips. She was the one who introduced our family to Grand Canyon way back. She went on her first commercial rafting trip in the late 1960s with her family – including my dad. Who in turn took his family- my sister and I- and so it goes… our family is addicted to river trips and I believe will always be. Dang, my folks even met on a river trip!
My Grandma has been ALL over the world – working and traveling. There are only 2 countries in the world she can name that she hasn't been to! The reason I say this is to emphasize the point that she still will argue that the 2 best trips in the world are a Grand Canyon white water raft trip and an African safari. She'll be the first to tell you that there is no comparison for either of these trips and everyone should experience them if they possibly can.
