Kim Weston, a prominent fine art photographer for over 30 years, and his son went on an 8 Day Lower Canyon Oar-Powered white water raft trip with GCW this past April.
Kim’s career and family legacy in photography has led him to teach many unique photography workshops. He primarily teaches at his grandfather’s (Edward Weston) former home in California’s Carmel Highlands where names like Ansel Adams and Ruth Bernhardt enjoyed time and a connection to the Weston family. This Grand Canyon rafting trip was his ‘scouting’ trip to see if the Canyon would be a good classroom for one of his famous workshops! We hope he’ll decide that Grand Canyon is an incredible place to learn and teach photography; we’ve seen great workshops happen in the Canyon over the years!
If you haven’t seen Kim Weston’s work, you should check out his website: www.kimweston.com. He has a beautiful portfolio, very enthralling!
