Grand Canyon Whitewater values the opportunity to share the effects that the nearly inaccessible natural wonders of the canyon can have on you. The owners of this family operation, Bruce Winter and Bill Gloeckler, carry the torch of this mission to this day.
People frequently inquire about one-day rafting trips in the Grand Canyon. However, due to the limited access to the river and the vastness of the canyon, the shortest trip we offer is three days. We believe this longer duration allows for a more complete and immersive experience.
The temptation to check the boxes and collect photos of ‘must-see’ destinations on your vacation is understandable. However, the gratification that comes with a Grand Canyon rafting trip is tough to beat. We encourage you to not only complete your bucket list but to also experience your vacation by booking a multi-day Grand Canyon Whitewater trip. Extended trips provide ample time to fully explore and appreciate your destination.
Instead of calculating your travel itinerary, you’ll enjoy all the canyon offers. Each trip is unique, but you can expect to
- Revel in Nature
This one is quite obvious, but it can’t be overstated. Floating on the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon provides a perspective that standing on the rim simply can’t replicate. You are likely to see big horn sheep, ravens, cacti, redbud trees, sacred datura flowers, and maybe California condors. Each day, you drift deeper among layers upon layers of ancient rocks that give a sense of our place in this world. Many guests comment on the breathtaking night skies that are free from light pollution.
- Expand Your Comfort Zone
When you challenge yourself and take risks, you open the door to new opportunities and unexpected growth. Pushing those boundaries can be so impactful – sleeping under the stars, whitewater rafting, backcountry hiking, and using the “groover” can be intimidating. This trip can reveal people’s strengths and skills they may not have been aware of before. By booking a trip with us, you’re taking the first step toward embracing your untapped potential.
- Disconnect
You can’t post to social media, check your email, or get notifications. Without digital stressors, you’re relieved from all external concerns. The remote nature of the Grand Canyon allows you to be in the moment. No interruptions here!
- Slow Down
Most of us have schedules and deadlines that can make it a challenge to adjust to “river time.” On the trip, we encourage you to settle into the new pace sooner rather than later. Take the time to appreciate the moments of stillness.
Millions are temporarily wowed by their travels, but only a few can say they’ve returned from their vacation with a new perspective. The five-star reviews are hard to ignore.
“The experience is hard to put into words but it’s absolutely incredible. I’ve been to over 23 countries during my time in the military and seen places all over the world. This trip was one of the coolest experiences in my life. Thanks for that.” Daniel S., 27, North Carolina
