Things to consider when deciding how early to book your trip:
Which trip type interests you? Our 7 Day Motor trip is said to be our most attractive trip type due to its convenient round-trip transportation from Las Vegas and the ability to see the full canyon in one week. Because of this, you’ll notice our schedule is full of dates to choose from for this trip type.
Other trips such as oar and Hiker’s Special trips are just as popular however, we are only able to offer them a few times a year. Due to their limited availability, these trips tend to sell out first–sometimes on opening day!
Our 5 Day Motor with Hike In trips sells out quickly to those who are attracted to hiking and rafting Grand Canyon.
When do you want to go? Our season runs from April through September with the majority of trips departing in June, July, and August. If you have a specific time frame free for your Grand Canyon rafting trip, you’ll need to call early to get your desired dates. Reservations open one year prior to the season. For example, we will start taking reservations for the 2023 season starting February of 2022.
How many people are traveling with you? We help people find the perfect trip for themselves, their family, and old and new friends. Check out our availability here.
In sum, the larger your group and/or the more particular your dates the sooner you will want to book.
Cancellation and the waitlist:
If the trip you want is already sold out, contact our office or submit an online inquiry to be added to the waitlist. Although, we never know if or when cancellations might happen, final payments are made about 4 months before the trip and we generally see cancellations then. There’s no fee or deposit required to be added to the waitlist. We will reach out as soon as your desired trip becomes available and you can decide from there.
