As news spreads about REI Adventures closing, we are thinking of all the customers who are facing the disappointment of a canceled trip. If you are scrambling to find an alternative outdoor adventure, Grand Canyon Whitewater would love to step in and make it happen.
Grand Canyon rafting trips offer an unforgettable adventure, perfect for those seeking a guided outdoor experience in the American Southwest. Redwall limestone caves, black basalt formations, refreshing waterfalls, thrilling whitewater rapids, hiking to scenic overlooks, camping under the stars, listening to stories told by river guides, and eating delicious food prepared for you – it’s an unparalleled experience you can’t get by just visiting the rim.
Researching trips can be daunting, so here are a few Grand Canyon river trip options that are comparable to popular REI Adventures.
Weeklong Bucket List Adventure
Utah’s Mighty 5 tour is tough to compete with, but there is something about immersing yourself in Grand Canyon National Park – rather than darting from one location to the next. Our most popular trips are 7-8 days. You’ll wind your way through the depths of the canyon for 187 river miles or more!
Guided Grand Canyon Rim 2 Rim Trips in 2025
REI offered numerous R2R trips each year. Although we don’t hike rim to rim, several of our trips combine hiking the Bright Angel Trail with several days of rafting on the Colorado River.
REI Weekend Getaway Alternative
REI’s 3 day Zion or Bryce tours were a great option for busy folks. Our sister company, Arizona River Runners, has a 3 Day Escape trip that is packed full of adventure and most tours conveniently start in Las Vegas.
